Guided Hunts By Big Bend Outfitting

3 Min Read

Big Bend Outfitting is a family business that was started by Reg and Tanis Quaale over 20 years ago in Hagen, SK, Canada. Big Bend Outfitting has a mission to help guide people through hunting with 4 different aspects which are the location, their hunting experience, their hospitality, and the fact that they’re family owned and operated. They have recently sold their business to their son in- law and daughter, Adam and Rebecca. Reg is staying as a guide to pass on his hunting experience to business owner Adam. There are two Big Bend guides, Reg Quaale and Randy Miller. They both grew up in the area and have access to hunting on thousands of acres of farm fields. The guides are both lifelong hunters with years of guiding experience. Reg has been hunting for waterfowl, deer and bear for over 20 years. Randy is an active trapper and bird hunter, as well as a retired National Park warden. Their hunting zones are located right in the middle of the Central Flyway, and have plenty of wetland and farmland for the birds to stop at on their way south. “It is the first stop for waterfowl on their migration south. There are many small sloughs and small lakes in the area providing them with an abundance of water.” After an early morning or afternoon hunt, we return you to the lodge where the guides, cooks and hunters all eat together. The lodge can accommodate 12 hunters, so they hunt in two groups of 6 maximum. Under most circumstances. Randy and Reg do not normally stay out with the hunters, since they need to get out and scout for subsequent hunts. It’s 3000 for a 5 day hunt (Mon-Fri) and it includes 10 guided hunts, transportation to hunts, and meals from Sunday night to Friday evening. The license, tags, transportation to the lodge, alcohol, and gratuities are not included. They recommend bringing layered clothing, waterproof outerwear, and waterproof boots. Lastly, the greatest value of Big Bend Outfitting is the fact that both hunting guides have years of experience. Come hunt at BBO, and make memories that will last a lifetime.
